Tradition

With Graduation, Spring sing, and the end of lent approaching Ben and I are going to try and tackle the large topic of tradition. Who knows where we'll go, it's gonna be kooky! (ok so probably not but we're trying to broaden out demographic to younger children, and research has shown that changing your vocabulary so that it's akin to popular media, Barney, Pokemon, Power Rangers, etc is one of the best ways to draw in the kids. No we're not pedophiles, they just have more purchasing power that our typical audience and our sponsors want us to hone in on them).

A sad day in Mudville

Unfortunately your dose of Kian and Ben will have to be postponed until next time due to the Colby concert that's taking place that night. I suggest you get your butt over there though, because from what I've heard it's gonna be BA

Presidential Results

Congratulations to the WCSA elect:
President: Matt "the happiest man on earth" Blickendorf
Vice prez: Geriece "I'll show you God" Jenkins
Business manager: Peter "I'll show you what real power is" Kazarian

And to the Class Presidents
Eric "I'll teach you to love" Winter
Ethan "Step up to the plate" Warner
Emily "#1 freshmen" Frei

It was an awesome race, I only wish ever candidate could be used somewhere in the council. Peace and blessings to all of you, and to the new cabinet good luck and God speed in the year to come.

Next Week's show

Link up next week for our discusison of technology and community in the global village. We'll be talking about Facebook, Ipods, and cell phones. Put your two cents in on Thursday night, 805-565-7072. It's gonna kick ass

Preimiere

Our show started last night, and for those of you who didn't listen "shame on you." I think for the first time on air that Ben and I did a pretty good job. If you are one of the few who didn't listen the show was our "Presidential edition" we talked about the national elections, had an interview with Dr. Bebee, and talked with all of the WCSA candidates. There was a slight lack in the amount of listener participation, maybe they were intimidated... Next week we're planning on doing something a little bit lighter, I think since people didn't really know a lot about the candidates they didn't want to call in. So if you have any ideas message us.

If you don't know our show is on Thursday nights from 10-11 on the Spark. You can access it through Radio.Westmont.edu. Our phone number is 805-565-7072 (or for on campus people 7072), and our IM account is KianandBen. We'll probably run this blog when we're on air too, so if you're reading this on Thursday night leave a comment and I'll read it on air.

You're beautiful
Love Kian

Oh, and p.s. this was our badass advert that never was posted...
